GTC wrestling welcomes volunteers willing to invest their time and energy into our club kids, and to growing the future of the club. Those interested in helping coach must first be approved by the GTC Board and the Commissioner of Coaches. Once approved, individuals will be required to complete the following steps below, as outlined by OKWA.

 

**All email confirmations of completion and certificates will need to be forwarded to grovetakedownclub@outlook.com to be printed and kept on file by the club.**

OKWA uses USA Wrestling to streamline it's process for background checks and required training. You will be responsible to cover the $30 background check fee up front, but GTC will reimburse you the cost when provided a receipt. You do not need to purchase an actual USA membership though, and the training piece is free. Lastly, it is highly recommended to complete the following steps on a desktop computer, as opposed to your cell phone, as it is easier to navigate that way.

STEP 1 - navigate to www.usawmembership.com

STEP 2 - Create a login using your email address.

STEP 2 - Create a Profile.

STEP 3 - Under the Menu, navigate to Manage > Memberships > Purchase > Event Volunteer > Purchase > Select (your own profile) > Start Background Check > complete the process and forward your confirmation email to grovetakedownclub@outlook.com.

STEP 4 - Under the Menu, navigate to Manage > Memberships > Purchase > Event Volunteer > Purchase > Select (your own profile) > GET SAFE SPORT CERTIFIED > complete the course and forward your confirmation email to grovetakedownclub@outlook.com.

STEP 5 - Navigate over to NFHS Learning Center > Courses > Concussion in Sports > Choose State "Oklahoma" > Choose "Order Course" (free) > complete the 1 hr course and forward the confirmation email with proof of the certificate of completion to grovetakedownclub@outlook.com.
